This ring originated with a gorgeous radiant cut diamond, but the client wasn't in love with her ring setting and decided it was time for an upgrade. Being in an artistic field, she wanted something that stood out and was expressive yet elegant and sparkly. Something one would never see anywhere else. This is the kind of project that Kristen dreams of!
One thing was for sure, the client really liked Kristen's signature Crevice Ring bands and thought it would be neat to incorporate her diamonds into a wide band with a unique setting.
During their client consultation, Kristen's client mentioned how much she appreciated the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright especially his house "Fallingwater" in Pennsylvania. With a background in architecture to draw upon, Kristen took that detail and ran with it.
When Kristen delivered the ring to her client, the client was shocked and actually speechless! She loved the stepped and layered setting that highlighted the baguette diamonds and provided an interesting visual from all angles. The width was exactly what she wanted and let's just say, she was overjoyed with her new 14K white gold + heirloom diamond ring (as was Kristen!).
"😊This week, this very special, custom designed and crafted ring inspired from notes taken on my stories about Mark and my life together, our adventures, our common interests, all of our rhythms and our not quite rhymes, and how I was finally ready to do something about my broken wedding ring. Rather than just repair it to what it was and who we were when Mark presented it to me on the eve of the new millennium, Mark and I talked about how maybe we should find a designer that could maybe use some of the stones from the original and design something that represents us together and at this point in our journey.
