The word team has many different meanings. Here at Kristen Baird, we do things a little differently. My team is a small but mighty collection of creatives united behind a singular goal. Although we’re spread from coast-to-coast, with many different backgrounds, experiences, and talents, it all comes together perfectly. I’m so grateful for these wonderful collaborators, and I couldn’t do it without them. Get to know some of the amazing people who help me make the sparkles shine!
Emily Baroz (creative content writer) is a Brooklyn-based playwright and screenwriter, and she’s honored to help tell the story of Kristen Baird® Jewelry. Emily loves spinning heartwarming tales that highlight the connections between family, friends, and loved ones. When she’s not blogging for Kristen, you can find her constantly revising her musical The Inconvenient Miracle and helping writers develop their work through her independent theater company. TV credits include Raise a Glass to Love and Beverly Hills Wedding, both on The Hallmark Channel (credited as Emily Claire Schmitt).
Jeana Hughes (social media and brand imagery) is a former educator who founded Raising Winsomely, a platform to share motherhood and the beauty of ordinary military life. This led her to switch careers as she found her passion for graphics and social media marketing. She loves being able to highlight the creativity of Kristen Baird® Jewelry on the blog and give a glimpse of Kristen’s life and artistic abilities through the perspective of different content channels. Jeana loves getting lost in a book, traveling the world, and spending her days in the sun. When Jeana is off the clock, she is teaching her daughter or editing another lifestyle photo session.
Abby Leaventon (resident jewelry-making intern) originally hails from Ohio and is currently majoring in jewelry at SCAD. She has been a vital part of the KBJ studio since January 2022. Her meticulous work ethic and attention to detail make her the perfect teammate for long days in the studio. Abby loves the hustle and bustle of life in a family business and fits in perfectly with our daily combination of children, animals, jewelry, and sparkles. I’m so fortunate to be able to work alongside her as she pursues her dream.
Paprika Southern - Photography duo Bevin and Siobhan have been a vital part of the Kristen Baird story since almost the very beginning. They’ve been working with me since 2013, creating all the beautiful imagery you find on my site, social media, and newsletters. I credit their work with being a major part of the growth of my business, and it’s been so gratifying to see them grow as well through the years. Even their cat, Zooey, has become part of the team!
KB Support Crew - Last, but certainly not least, my husband Drew and our sons Paxton and Preston are the ultimate teammates and support system. Running a small business isn’t easy, and it often means bringing my work home with me and weaving in emails and calls on weekends and nights. But this crew is always there to lift me up and keep encouraging me. They’re the reason for everything I do.
